Why we need donations & what they do
Membership income mostly serves to cover our overhead of staffing, utilities, and essential maintenance. We need donations to serve a wider community and maintain and upgrade our space, tools, and programs. More specifically, your donations help us:
Hold events like #MadeInKingsport, a free event during Fun Fest which brings together regional makers and artists to host fun activities and learning opportunities for kids and adults.
Maintain and improve The Inventor Center building, machines, and equipment.
Expand programming including:
Open Houses to meet the staff and members and take tours of the space.
Make Art, a free morning art session where everyone brings a project and works on their art together.
Scholarships for our community classes and Girl Scout series.
