Classes will take place 7 pm-9 pm, September 7,14,21,28, October 5,12,19,26, and November 2,9,16,30

Learn to create 3-dimensional objects and animation in this 12 week Blender class with Byron!

Blender is a free and open source 3-D creation suite. It can be used for creating still images and animation. The objects made in Blender can also be used for 3D printing!

Blender also contains 2 types of rendering software and a video sequence editor. You can make entire movies with this program including creating special effects with life shot video and using its camera tracking software and compositor.

The class will include 24 hours of instruction over 12 Wednesday nights, giving students adequate time to gain confidence and skill in 3-D modeling, animation, rendering and compositing. Each session will build on the previous week's skills.

What you will need for the class:

You will need a computer with a 3 button mouse with either Window, Mac or Linux installed. A limited number of laptops will be available. If you plan to use one of the Inventor Center’s computers, be sure to reserve it before registering for the class. If you are using one of these laptops, please bring a USB drive so that you can save your work to take home with you and bring back the following Saturday.
