For generations, skilled artisans have used hammering techniques to shape, texture, and refine raw copper into beautiful functional and decorative pieces. In this hands-on workshop, girls will explore the art of metal stamping and texturing while creating a personalized copper pendant.

This workshop is beginner-friendly and offers a creative opportunity to design a unique handmade piece of jewelry. By the end of the session, each participant will leave with a customized necklace and a basic understanding of traditional jewelry-making techniques. All materials and tools will be provided.

The Inventor Center Director Brandon Faith Harrell will be teaching this class. Brandon has been an Instructor of Art at Northeast State Community College for over 10 years and has her MFA with a concentration in jewelry and metalsmithing. Brandon has worked at summer camps and makerfairs teaching the basics of jewelry work to kids of all ages.

This is NOT a drop-off event. Adults will need to stay to meet girl to adult ratio.

Students must have a liability waiver and media release form signed by their parent or guardian to participate.
