Turn your ordinary furniture into a beautiful repurposed piece with this chalk painting technique! Learn about different paint options, plus get a recipe to create your own chalk paint! Students will learn to paint their piece, then optionally follow sanding techniques for a weathered or distressed look. Finally, seal your piece with wax and learn about other sealing options!

Students will need to bring:

• Bedside table-sized piece of furniture (with a natural finish currently!) to refinish

• Alternative: purchase the "furniture included" ticket and the instructor will bring a piece for you

• Apron or old clothes you don't mind getting messy

Age 16+, under 18 MUST be accompanied by a guardian.

This workshop is part of our "Inclusion" series where we invite anyone who may not feel comfortable using these tools to join us in the metal or wood shop (or both!), learn some new skills, and meet other people who are also new to this! All of our instructors for this series are prepared for complete beginners, we hope you will join us!
