Learn how basic hammer texture can be used in your jewelry to reshape the wire, add interest, and pull your design together!
We will discuss different metals including copper, aluminum, and sterling silver and see how they can each be used for different purposes. Then students will learn about and practice hammering the metal precisely in order to stretch it in the right place to hold beads on, work harden the metal to make it stronger, and also pick the texture that matches the look they are going for.
Students will leave with better hammer skills and an instruction/materials sheet which will help them continue on their own!
