Join us for a fun, casual figure drawing session--practice drawing a model, discuss various techniques, and share tips and tricks!

In this class students will practice drawing a model, as well as discuss different drawing techniques and tips. Exercises include drawing with various time restrictions, from different angles, and playing a colorful drawing relay game called “Drawing Wheel.” Artists are encouraged to share their own techniques and tricks with one another.

At the end of the session, students will have produced multiple rough sketches, and perhaps one or two drawings that are more fully realized. They will have learned and been able to practice how to quickly analyze the basic form of a thing, and how to translate their own artistic understanding of that form without the constraints of perfectionism.

Materials: Please bring with you a sketchbook or paper, pencil, and eraser
